Sadayatana 145: Unfinished Dream - John Tocher
Were not the longing of the sad old men for the unfinished dream, the regret for days lost without ever being had, concealed in the secret of this house? Eguchi had thought before that girls who did not awaken were ageless freedom for old men. Asleep and unspeaking, they spoke as the old men wished. - Yasunari Kawabata, "The House of the Sleeping Beauties" (1961) startartisttitle00:00SenmuthEmptiness of Nun's Chaotic Waters02:12Item CaligoThey all smiled11:37BulkrateInto the portal of doom19:21...

Sadayatana 142: Quest Of Shudders - John Tocher
This much I knew before my insistent questioning led my uncle to show me the notes which finally embarked us both on our hideous investigation. In my childhood the shunned house was vacant, with barren, gnarled and terrible old trees, long, queerly pale grass and nightmarishly misshapen weeds in the high terraced yard where birds never lingered. We boys used to overrun the place, and I can still recall my youthful terror not only at the morbid strangeness of this sinister vegetation, but at the ...

Sadayatana 082: Forgotten Traffic - John Tocher
In fact, the whole city was now asleep, part of an immense unconscious Europe, while he himself crawled about on a forgotten traffic island like the nightmare of this slumbering continent. - J. G. |Sadayatana 052: Día de los Muertos - John Tocher|
The show starts with the title track from Kirill Platonkin's release "Silence is Important". Kirill said: "...the latest one (Silence Is Important) includes some experiments with throat singing...". Experiment? Success! Had thought to do like a Halloween show with clinking and clanking and like you know. But it kind of rubbed against my ideas about dark ambient. I feel like it's a misunderstood genre in that people expect it to be creepy and dark, etc...

Sadayatana 158: Comes and Goes - John Tocher
We all travel the milky way together, trees and men; but it never occurred to me until this storm-day, while swinging in the wind, that trees are travelers, in the ordinary sense. They make many journeys, not very extensive ones, it is true; but our own little comes and goes are only little more than tree-wavings -- many of them not so much. - John Muir, The Mountains of California (1894) startartisttitle00:00PolluxMist00:14KlopennPanspermia07:04Flat AffectSilhouetted Figures15:40O.S.I.S.Nod21:...
